QELA Boutique

QELA, the first boutique by Qatar Luxury Group, opened in September 2013 with a lighting scheme by DPA Lighting featuring all-LED fixtures from RCL. The store uses 187 DR7 and 146 DR8 remote-controlled spotlights, with the trimless DR7s providing recessed general lighting and the upgraded DR8s highlighting merchandise and art. Both luminaires can be adjusted via handheld remotes or RCL’s iDirect system, enabling quick, floor-level control of pan and tilt to accentuate displays. iDirect also allows staff to set and recall Scenes through an iPad app and Gesture Pad, giving flexibility for creative effects. The patented “Select & Direct” technology further enhances accuracy and convenience, ensuring objects are always shown at their best.
