The Chan Zuckerberg Initiative was founded in 2015 to help solve some of society’s toughest challenges — from eradicating disease and improving education, to addressing the needs of local communities with the mission of building a more inclusive, just, and healthy future for everyone. This building, located at 1180 Main Street in Redwood City, California was part of a 2022 expansion project located not too far from the Chan Zuckerberg Initiatives headquarters in San Mateo. The new building features four floors totaling 118,136 sq. ft., a public park that follows the curve of a local creek, building access to a pedestrian bridge, and is conveniently located near the local commuter rail.
