Pico Zoom Wins FX Design Award

Precision Lighting’s Pico Zoom variable beam LED luminaire has won the 2014 FX Design Award for Best Lighting Product.

The Pico Zoom has received critical acclaim and has been shortlisted for several industry awards. The variable beam technology allows for superior focusing, ideal for use in multiple applications including retail and museum displays.

Precision Lighting’s Pico series is extremely compact, making it a discreet and unobtrusive addition to interiors. The combination of adjustable optics and the exceptionally smooth movement of the linear focusing mechanism makes it possible to position and focus with pinpoint accuracy. The ability to vary the beam width between 12 and 30 degrees ensures the Pico Zoom offers optimal flexibility whilst maintaining a minimal profile.

The Pico Zoom range also includes the S1 Zoom and Pico Zoom Surface allowing for maximum versatility. The long-stemmed S1 Zoom is ideal for gallery picture lighting and the Pico Zoom Surface makes cabinet display lighting truly adaptable. Pico luminaires have been specified for numerous prestigious projects including The London Dungeons, The Science Museum, Mappin & Webb’s Regent Street showroom and the Cheapside Hoard exhibition in the Museum of London. Most recently Pico Zooms were used to light jewellery at Rock Vault, a unique initiative at London Fashion Week set up to showcase and nurture creative fine jewellery talent within the United Kingdom.

“We are delighted that the Pico Zoom has won such a prestigious award. We are very proud of Peter McClelland and his design team.” said Precision Lighting’s managing director Alex Ruston. “This award is proof of the value of investing in R&D and high quality engineering. This is a great little product.”
